Ambedkar’s name is not a fashion but a passion," say MVA leaders in response to Shah's statement.

Nagpur: High-voltage drama unfolded on the fourth day of the Maharashtra state legislature's winter session as Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) leaders, including Congress MLAs Nana Patole, Nitin Raut, and Ambadas Danve, staged a protest against Union Minister Amit Shah's recent statement, which they claimed insulted Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
The leaders carried placards with messages like "Baba Saheb ka apman nahi sahega Hindustan" (India will not tolerate the insult of Ambedkar) and "Ambedkar ka naam fashion nahi, passion hai" (Ambedkar's name is not a fashion but a passion). They marched from Samvidhan Square to Vidhan Bhavan, paying floral tributes to Dr. Ambedkar's statue at Samvidhan Square before beginning their demonstration.
